Fridays: “Friday Night Jam” Power 2 Improv members free style
their way through a high energy and unique improve interactive
adventure. What games will be played at the show? Well, that’s up
to the audience who picks from a list of over 30 improv games.
Saturdays: “Off The Cuff" A live interactive improvised comedy
show. Two Power 2 Improv teams compete in various tests of their
comedic improv skills in the style of Who's Line Is It Anyway?
The games are based on suggestions from the audience. |
HOW IT ALL BEGAN > > |
In the early part of 2007 Phillip put together a troupe of four
individuals who loved improv and dreamed of performing shows
around town. In early 2008, that dream began to take shape as
Power 2 Improv was formed with the founding members of Matt,
Gordon, Old Man Dave, Kevin, Kurt, Michelle and John. Our first
shows were at Give Kids the World. We continue to perform there
every 3rd Tuesday of the month and each show is an amazing experience
for all of us. Shortly after our first show Michelle moved to Cali and
we added Chris and PJ to the troupe.
In November 2008, PJ wrestled up some business contacts he had in
the hotel industry. Soon we had two places who were interested in hosting
an improv troupe of their own. Everyone in the group was beyond ecstatic!
We started performing at the Clarion Resort Water Park &
Conference Center in Kissimmee in December 2008. The Clarion
Resort has become our home with shows being performed every
Friday and Saturday at 9 p.m. At the end of February 2009,
we added a new venue: the Oak Plantation Resort in Kissimmee and
we now perform there every Wednesday at 7 p.m.
With our group performing thirteen shows a month we were in need
of some fresh-faced players. In late January 2009, Sean, Dakota,
Aaron, Elizabeth, Mickey, Seth, Young Man Dave, Jim, Travus and
Josh joined the ranks of Power 2 Improv. Bill, our underappreciated
tech, also signed up for the long haul.
By the end of April, Mickey, Seth, John and Young Man Dave had
left to make it big both in and out of Orlando. We have recently
welcomed Bryan, Jessica and Wing as the newest members of
Power2Improv. |

logo to his people who cleaned it up and made it what it is today.
